Breitling Considering Sale, Report Says

The brand may decide to stay independent, Bloomberg reports

Breitling, one of the last independent Swiss watch brands, may be up for sale, according to an article in Bloomberg.

The news services’ sources described the process as “still in the early stages,” adding that the 132-year-old company may decide not to sell.

“The most likely suitors are luxury-goods companies rather than private equity firms,” the news service noted, adding the watchmaker is being advised by investment bank GCA Altium.

Representatives from Breitling and GCA Altium did not respond to requests for comment.
