Art, interiors, and the occasional wildcard photo define the brand’s feed
Los Angeles–based jewelry designer Annie Costello Brown (pictured) makes the kind of boho, tribal-inspired jewelry that urban fashion consumers love to wear.
The designer handmakes all her pieces in her LA studio, and her fantastic Instagram is riddled with photos showing creations in the process of fabrication. Costello Brown’s feed also includes a few of the designer’s other loves—fine art, residential interiors, and architecture.

Casual product shots
Costello Brown’s jewelry leans toward the louche, so hyper-styled, polished product shots would feel forced—and very off-brand. Instead, she relies on the product snapshot to entice her fans.
Fine art
The designer’s love of spare modern art is splashed all over her Instagram. Juxtaposed with her jewelry, it’s clear that art is a chief inspiration for her designs.
Undone models
Befitting her earthy pieces, Costello Brown shows her work on low-key, almost makeup-free models—who actually may be employees or friends.
Process shots
The maker-designer loves showing how she puts her pieces together, with striking images of preassembled parts. Hers is the anti–assembly line method—and her followers love that fact.
Wildcards
Occassionally, the designer throws up personal photos that are cool, interesting, and pack a ton of visual interest. Whatever the shot, she always remains authentic to her brand’s DNA, which is clearly an extension of her own style.
