Jim Grohn Joins Ed Levin Jewelry

In addition to the appointment of Grohn, a 25-year industry veteran, the company will introduce a new sales and marketing strategy

Ed Levin Jewelry, the Cambridge, N.Y.–based jewelry designer and manufacturer, has announced a new sales and marketing strategy, including the appointment of a new executive vice president.

Jim Grohn, the new executive vice president of sales and marketing, will lead brand development strategies in the United States and the Caribbean. He is a 25-year veteran of the industry and has held executive positions with A. Jaffe, Belle Étoile, and Metalsmiths Sterling.

The company also announced that it has partnered with two companies to engage with retailers. The Canton, Ohio–based consultancy Performance Concepts will provide training and sales solutions for its retailers, and Performance Concepts CEO Kate Peterson will work with Grohn and the sales and marketing team to develop retailer training programs. They have also retained the Napa, Calif.–based BIG Network Buyers Intelligence Group to help its retailers make better merchandising decisions.

The company, founded in 1950 by Ed Levin, was purchased by its CEO Peter Tonjes, a longtime employee of the company, in 2012. Tonjes is the president and CEO.
