Conference on Asian Jewelry Announced

The Rubin Museum of Art and the Association for the Study of Jewelry and Related Arts will host a one-day conference on Asian jewelry in September.

The conference, Asian Jewelry and Related Arts, will occur during New York’s Fall Asia Week and will be held at the Rubin Museum.

Speakers will include Katherine Anne Paul, curator of the Newark Museum Asian Arts department, who will deliver the keynote; Eric Hoffman, author; Michael Teller and Melanie Roy of TK Antiques; Robert Mintz, chief curator at the Walters Art Museum; Cecilia Levin, researcher; Margaret Duda, author; Susan Ollemans of Susan Ollemans Oriental Art; and Emily Banis Stoehrer, assistant professor at Fisher College in Boston.

The conference will take place on September 20 and is open to the public. Registration is $350 and is available online or by calling the Rubin Museum.
