Silver Promotion Service Survey Reveals Strong 2013 Jewelry Sales

Silver jewelry sales in the U.S. last year were robust, according to results of a recently conducted survey for the Silver Institute’s Silver Promotion Service. Findings from the survey, completed by Nationaljeweler.com for SPS, show that retailers’ silver jewelry sales, as a percentage of overall jewelry sales, accounted for an average of 33 percent of unit volume and 29 percent of dollar volume, that average increases for sales of silver jewelry were about 17 percent, and that silver jewelry had the best margins of any category during the 2013 holiday season.
