Infographic: What Jewelers Can Learn From Social Media in 2013

The social media app Vine debuted in January 2013 and grew 403 percent (!) between the first and third quarters, according to a study by Mashable, Statista, and GlobalWebIndex.

While the jewelers are still figuring out what they should (and shouldn’t do) on Vine, there’s no disputing social media and mobile are not the future for retail—they are the present.

This infographic from Infographic Promotion creatively displays the state of social media in 2013. Here are some standout statistics that the jewelry industry should think about in 2014.

  • 38 percent of unique visits to LinkedIn were via mobile devices in the third quarter.
  • 30 percent of Facebook’s advertising revenue ($1.25 billion) came from mobile devices.
  • Images with multiple dominant colors have 3.25 times more repins than single dominant color images.
  • 38 percent of Super Bowl ads included hashtags visually displayed, up from 31 percent in 2012.
