What’s Selling In Stores: Yellow Gold

We asked retailers across the country to share their best-selling yellow gold jewelry this week.

Elleard Heffern Fine Jewelers, Clayton, Mo. Vendorafa rings (pictured: Flora Due ring in 18k yellow gold with a white diamond flower, $3,500).

“It’s handmade jewelry that looks handmade but in a sophisticated way,” says the store’s certified gemologist and appraiser, Anne Pokoski. “They use lots of hand finishes, especially hammering, as well as beautiful textures. They also usually combine designs with elegant touches of diamonds without the diamonds being overwhelming.”

Eli Halili, New York City. 24k yellow gold nugget bracelet, $3,600.

“It has a very rustic and ancient look to it,” notes store manager Michal Schaul. “People are going more for the natural and organic pieces.”

Henne Jewelers, Pittsburgh, Pa.  Lana 14k yellow gold (2.5-inch-diameter) hoops, $1,235.

“They’re not a traditional hoop,” says store president John Henne. “They’re a little bit more fashion forward and interesting.”
