Rebel Chique, maker of manmade diamonds and a new subsidiary of famed diamond house Royal Asscher, has announced the judging panel for its first-ever design competition.

Winning designs will be chosen in six different categories from a pool of entries that have come in from nearly a dozen countries. Entrants have been tasked with challenging traditional diamond designs by using Rebel Chique’s multicolored rocks, creating styles that celebrate the stones’ inherent beauty and glamour.

“The judges will have quite a challenge choosing from among the vast array of designs to create our first ever Winners Collection,” said Mike Asscher, vice president of Royal Asscher Diamond Co. and CEO of Rebel Chique. “The Winners Collection will be put into production and available for sale on RebelChiqueDiamonds.com in time for the holiday season.”

The judges are:

• Erica Courtney, jewelry designer
• Monica Stephenson, jewelry blogger
• Reena Ahluwalia, jewelry designer
• Gitta Vandenbroeck, jewelry designer
• Talya Cousins, jewelry editor and creative director
