Here’s something you don’t expect to find while mountain-climbing: a treasure chest of jewels.

A climber on Mont Blanc—the highest mountain in Europe—found a box filled with $330,000 in emeralds, rubies, and sapphires, reports AFP.

The box was turned over to authorities. It was reportedly on board an Indian plane that crashed into the mountain 40 years ago.

According to French law, the climber will get to keep the haul if no one claims it, the report says.
