Zale Corp. to Rejoin Russell 3000

Zale Corp. has announced it will rejoin the broad-market Russell 3000 Index when Russell Investments reconstitutes its U.S. and global equity indexes on June 28.

“We are very pleased to rejoin the Russell 3000 Index,” said Zale CEO Theo Killion said in a statement released June 25. “Our inclusion in the Russell indexes will increase our exposure to investors and the financial community allowing us to continue to broaden our shareholder base.”

Russell’s U.S. indexes rank the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks by total market capitalization as of the end of May. Membership in the Russell 3000—which remains in place for a year—means automatic inclusion in the small-cap Russell 2000 Index as well as the appropriate growth and value style indexes. The Russell 3000 also serves as the U.S. component to the Russell Global Index.
