A Cartier pearl bracelet that once belonged to the Queen of Spain is expected to fetch more than $800,000 at Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels auction in Geneva on Nov. 14.
The conch pearl, enamel, and diamond bracelet once belonged to Queen Victoria Eugenia of Spain; it carries an estimate of $800,000–$1.4 million.

“This unique, sumptuous, and truly royal bracelet [is] unquestionably one of the greatest jewels designed by Cartier during the 1920s,” said David Bennett, chairman of Sotheby’s jewelry department in Europe and the Middle East, in a statement.
The Geneva auction comprises more than 590 lots. Among other highlights:
- A pair of ruby and diamond pendant earrings, with matched 11 cts. t.w. Burmese rubies (estimate: $1.4 million–$2.5 million)
- A 10.48 ct. exceptionally rare fancy blue diamond. The drop-shape briolette stone has been graded flawless by GIA (estimate $3.5 million–$4.5 million).
