Stock Up on White Gold

The color and durability of white gold has made it the hands-down favorite metal in engagement rings among brides and grooms in recent years.

The Knot’s most recent Market Intelligence Report found that 73 percent of 11,000 respondents chose a white gold setting for their ring.

Pricier platinum, which enjoyed robust popularity in the pre-recession days, accounted for 16 percent of all rings purchased, while yellow gold rings accounted for only 7 percent of those purchased.
