Birks & Mayors, a jewelry retailer and manufacturing company in Canada and the United States, will now accept Asian credit cards across its locations.
Among the cards now accepted: China’s Union Pay credit card, Korea’s BC credit card, as well as JCB, Diners Club, and Discover, cards popular with Asian consumers.
“We are thrilled to offer our Asian consumers additional options when it comes to forms of payment in our stores,” Jean-Christophe Bédos, president & CEO of Birks & Mayors, said in a statement. “We are seeing more and more visitors from China, Korea, and other Asian countries shop in our stores, and it was natural for us to offer them a more pleasant and convenient shopping experience.”
The company has 58 stores in Canada and the United States.
