Illinois Jeweler Showcases Million-Dollar Diamond

Clodius & Co. Jewelers in Rockford, Ill., is offering a million-dollar treat for its customers and community members this holiday season.

Throughout December, the jeweler has displayed two diamond rings: one with a 2.60 ct. natural green diamond valued at $1 million, and another with a pink diamond from Angola valued at $700,000.

Seeing such high-valued and intricate pieces of jewelry is not common in Rockford, owner Mark Clodius tells JCK, and the reaction by the public has been more than enthusiastic. “It’s blown minds,” says Clodius. “This is something many people never get a chance to see.”

Both Clodius and his wife, Monika, are thrilled by the opportunity to host these diamonds in their store. The jewelers are members of the Natural Color Diamond Association, which is how they received these rings to display and sell. “We love being jewelers,” says Clodius. “We’re so happy to be able to share some of rarest and most beautiful things nature has created.”

The diamonds will be on display through Dec. 14.
