Store Owner Shot During N.Y. Robbery

A Brooklyn, N.Y., store owner was shot during an armed
robbery on July 25.

According to the New York City Police Department, two men
entered Studio Jewelry around 12:48 p.m. One of the men brandished a black
revolver and vaulted over the counter chasing the 54-year-old store owner
around the store.

The second suspect jumped over the counter and dumped
jewelry from display cases into a bag. The men fled the store.

Store owner Richard Sanocki was shot in the chest during the
incident. Police say he was working alone and was taken to Bellevue Hospital
where he is listed in stable condition.
