The Gemological Institute of America will host an “Open Day” at its London campus on June 10 to commemorate London Jewellery Week.

The Open Day, a free event open to the public, will feature lectures on gemology, diamonds, and colored stones, to promote a better understanding of jewelry and help the trade sell it more ethically and efficiently.  Demonstrations of GIA’s eLearning program and tours of the building will also be available.

An RSVP is not required but it is recommended that those planning to attend send an email notification to info@gialondon.co.uk.

London Jewellery Week, a celebration of the city’s prominent position in the world of jewelry design, production, and retail, takes place June 6–12.
