ICA Will Honor Past President with Lifetime Achievement Award

Paolo Valentini, founding member and past president of The International Colored Gemstone Association will receive an ICA Lifetime Achievement Award for his service to the gem trade, during ICA’s 14th biennial Congress in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, May 1–4.

Hecliton Santini Henriques, president of the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association will also be recognized for his work promoting color.

Valentini joined the ICA board in 1987 and served as president from 1995 to 1999. He launched the ICA Pavilion at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Fair and pioneered several successful marketing projects. He is currently the vice president of the Pearls and Diamond Dealers Association.

Henriques has served as president of IBGM since 1998. He coordinated and supervised programs that provided training, information, and sales promotion for the Brazilian gems and jewelry sector.
