The California Jewelers Association announced 2011 scholarship recipients April 15.
Adrian Blanco, manager of de Luna Jewelers in Davis, Calif., received the CJA Peter Hess Scholarship, and Gemological Institute of America student Shintia Lynch is the CJA Robert B. Westover Scholarship recipient.

Blanco is currently working to complete his Associate Jewelry Professional Degree and Graduate Gemologist Degree at the Gemological Institute of America.
