Botswana President Ian Khama will be among the honored guests at the International Diamond Manufacturers Association’s 2011 President Meeting, which will be held in the Botswana capital of Gaborone April 4–7.

The core event of the meeting will be on April 4, with the Botswana hosts staging a diamond industry "Stakeholders Roundtable," and panel discussion.

"We're honored to be hosted by the Botswana government and the Botswana Diamond Manufacturers Association,” said IDMA president Moti Ganz. “Botswana is a prime example of how the diamond mining industry has contributed positively to the development of the economy and social structure of a previously disadvantaged country.”

Meeting participants will also have the opportunity to visit the rough diamond sorting facilities and offices of the Diamond Trading Company of Botswana, as well as tour the country’s famous Jwaneng mine.

Online registration for the event can be accessed here
