Centurion Design Winners Announced

The inaugural winners of the 2011 Centurion Design Award were announced during Centurion’s 10th anniversary show in Tucson, Ariz., Jan. 31–Feb. 1.

More than 80 exhibitors entered 11 categories. “The caliber of creativity of each entry was simply amazing,” said Centurion president Howard Hauben in a statement. “We are excited that the Centurion Design Competition will be an annual event."

The winners include:

  • Edward Mirell for alternative/contemporary metals
  • Norman Silverman for bridal
  • Fai Dee for colored stone classic
  • Frederic Sage for colored stone fashion
  • Sethi Couture, a division of Manak Jewels Inc., for diamond classic
  • Siera Jewelry for diamond fashion
  • Paramount Gems for gold
  • Yvel for pearls
  • Uneek Jewelry for platinum
  • Raymond Hak Couture for sterling silver
  • Frédérique Constant for watches
