Blue Nile announced Nov. 18 that Marc Stolzman has resigned from the role of chief financial officer to pursue other interests, effective Nov. 24.

Vijay Talwar, senior vice president and general manager of international business, will serve as interim CFO. Talwar will continue to oversee the company’s international business.

Prior to Blue Nile, Talwar served as CEO of the William J. Clinton Foundation in India, where he provided strategic, financial and operational leadership to the fund and developed health care and sustainability programs across India and South Asia.

Talwar also worked at Nike, where he held a number of executive leadership positions, including COO for Nike's Amsterdam-based operations in Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa from 2007 to 2008. He also served as senior director and CFO of global apparel, strategy, and finance from 2003 to 2007.

Prior to Nike, Talwar was a consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco and Chicago for several years.
