The 12th Annual New York Fashion Conference, Vintage: Value, Values and Enduring Design, organized by Initiatives in Art and Culture, takes place in New York City on Dec. 2–4 at the Graduate Center at the City University of New York.

The event kicks off with a pre-conference reception and viewing at Fred Leighton on the evening of Dec. 2 and also features an evening at vintage emporium What Goes Around Comes Around on Dec. 3.

The conference will look at the interplay of old and new, the erosion of entrenched definitions of value, the premium now placed by some on elements such as sustainability and artisanry, and new thoughts about what constitutes luxury today.

Major figures from the fashion industry will join jewelry experts to address these issues as speakers or panelists.

The conference fee is $350 ($150 for full-time students with ID). One-day registrations are also available.
