For the third time in four years, CW Sellors has received the Gem-A award for Gem Empathy at International Jewellery London 2010. The jewelry manufacturer, based in Derbyshire, U.K., received the award for the use of gemstones—especially its signature stone, Whitby Jet—in its handmade jewelry.
The award is organized by the Gemmological Association of Great Britain in conjunction with International Jewellery London.
CW Sellors also garnered third prize in the Platinum Guild Awards at this year’s IJL, for innovative use of design and display in generating commercial appeal and motivation for a new collection that combines platinum, diamonds, and Whitby Jet.
The company also sponsored designer FangFang Qiao, whose Ice and Water earrings of linked platinum triangles won the Emerging Designers Award for earrings at the Lonmin Design Innovation Awards.
