Avi Paz, president of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, said the WFDB has the ability to enforce the Kimberley Process in a speech to the 7th Annual Meeting of the World Diamond Council in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Paz stated the WFDB’s commitment to the KP was “unequivocal” and that every effort should be made to solve the deadlock over exporting diamonds from Zimbabwe’s Marange diamond mines and to “refrain from such deadlocks in the future.”
