NAJA Education Conference Slated for August

The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers will hold its Annual Summer Educational Conference Aug. 9-14 in Salem, Mass. The educational programs will include classroom discussion followed by hands-on workshops.

The first day's offering will be a workshop on report writing. The session will feature interactive writing exercises and mock trial demonstrations.

Other presentations include Gail Brett Levine speaking on "The State of the Auction Market"; Richard Drucker and Stuart Robertson speaking on "Mining, Treating, and Marketing Montana Sapphires" and "An Overview of the Nomenclature and Grading Standards in Use in the Pearl Industry"; and Dan Gendron speaking on "Appraising Wristwatches" and "Appraising Designer Jewelry."
